Huntington NY— Today Congressman Steve Israel
announced he received the prestigious endorsement of the Veterans
of Foreign Wars Political Action Committee for his reelection. Rep.
Israel has forged a reputation for a strong commitment to veterans
causes both local and nationally. “It
is a great honor for me to receive the endorsement from the heroic
men and women who fought to keep our country free,” Israel said.
“The best thing we can do to honor those who served our country
is to fulfill the promises we made to them. Since being elected to
Congress four years ago, I have worked hard to help veterans secure
the benefits they are due, from health care to overdue recognition
for their actions in combat. I will continue to make those efforts
a priority as long as I am privileged to serve in Congress.”

well as this year. |
