Improving Education, Making College Affordable

With two kids in college, Steve understands the importance of affordable education so we can compete in a global economy. He’s fighting to make sure all New York families have access to a quality, affordable education, which is a vital step toward ensuring we can continue to compete in the global marketplace. Congressman Israel is fighting to get $557 million dollars into New York schools to modernize outdated buildings and make sure they are energy efficient. Congressman Israel has also written legislation to expand the tax deduction families can take for college costs. And he’s working to keep our kids safe by securing over $1 million to provide Long Island law enforcement and emergency response officials the resources they need to protect our families.
